A Portuguese expat living in Brooklyn, Carlos grew up exploring Lisbon’s museums with his grandmother, which established a love of craft and design that has guided him ever since.

Carlos started his career in Daniel Reich’s ground-breaking art gallery - an unconventional introduction that included everything from secret shows at the iconic Hotel Chelsea to liaising with large cultural institutions. The following chapters included Jonathan Adler’s midcentury world and guiding digital experiences for luxury brands that include Ralph Lauren, Rolex and M·A·C Cosmetics, with a focus on bridging his passion for design, technology and business throughout. 

Having experienced the inner workings of these successful creative businesses, Carlos tapped into his family’s many generations of entrepreneurship to launch Lusitano Studio.
